About Artistic Swimming Queensland
Artistic Swimming Queensland (ASQ) is the state governing body for the sport of artistic swimming (formerly known as synchronised swimming) in Queensland.
ASQ is dedicated to promoting the growth, participation, and development of artistic swimming across the state. We strive to create positive outcomes at every level of the sport - from beginner participation to elite performance. Our focus includes building capacity among volunteers, judges, and technical officials, and upholding strong governance practices.
The organisation is run by a dedicated volunteer committee that oversees governance, strategy, and the delivery of programs and events. Our purpose is to administer, support, and promote artistic swimming in Queensland for the benefit of the entire community.
We work closely with our affiliated clubs to provide a clear pathway for athletes, coaches, officials, and volunteers. Currently, there are three affiliated clubs offering artistic swimming programs in South-East Queensland. These clubs cater to both recreational and competitive swimmers, with athletes participating in local, state, national and international competitions.
ASQ also offers a range of services beyond club programs, including providing swimmers for exhibitions, shows, corporate events, and advertising campaigns.
Artistic Swimming Queensland is affiliated with Artistic Swimming Australia and follows all national policies and guidelines to ensure best practice, integrity, and safety across the sport.
